We stayed there on 4-16-09. Went in and barterd on a price of $* (it started at $*!). I was filling out A.E. Traveler Checks, even asked how they wanted me to fill in the line (Ramada, or Costa Del Sol Ramada). After filling out the checks, handed them to the guy helping me, he turned to a woman and she said no, cash only. I had to go back to the airport, exchanged 2 new traveler checks at an exchange for Solis (Peru currancy), wnet back to the Ramada and presented the currency exchange amount (given to me at the airport exchange) in Solis for USD. because i was using Solis, they charged me an additional 10%. Well there was no arguing with them, and we were there at midnight, so we took the room. It was a musty 2 full beds, poor condition of a room, with NO extras to think of. Only later in our trip did I find out it is cheaper to stay in Miraflores ( a $15 to $20 USD cab ride away from the airport, and very nice motels at half the price! All in all, Ramada at the Lima Airport is one place to avoid, rude staff, over priced, and a 3 out of 10 on the room conditions. P.S. - Don't forget to take a ride to Miraflores market square, it is a nice place in Lima to visit!!
